Who would miss somebody who didn’t exist?
Who never was?
But who could have been.
Does the existence of you in my mind
make me strange?
Make me silly?
Make me human?
One day you will have a brother
or a sister
and I won’t cry for you no more
but I will remember.
I will remember the life that could have been.
